This coastal footpath follows the banks of the Loire from one bank to the other.
The 18km route starts in Jargeau or Châteauneuf-sur-Loire and crosses the river via the bridges.
This is a full-day tour, so pack a picnic or arrange to have lunch in a restaurant.

and discover the birds of the Loire at the Coupain nature reserve in Ouvrouër-les-Champs.

Walk around the church in Sury-aux-Bois to say hello to Saint-Georges, then set off for 10 km.
Once you leave the village, you’re in the Forêt d’Orléans.
Discover the ponds, former reservoirs of the Orléans canal, including the brin d’amour pond
and the Etang de la Vallée. You’ll pass by a Beagle kennel.
You return in the shade via the Canal d’Orléans.
